Intro

I actually didn’t intend to “win” this item on E-Bay. It was one of those ahh just bid on it for fun. And I won at half the normal kit price.

I thought it was a cool idea for a “starter kit” (which I don’t actually need, so lets call it a “booster pack”), but I also didn’t want to pay the normal E-Bay full price of 99€. I paid just over 50€ including postage. It contains all the basics a strobist kit would need, and it all packs away in one small carry bag.

Delivery includes 2x Tripods, 2x Umbrellas, 1x Flash Trigger & Receiver,  1x Flash Case, 2x Speedlights, 1 x Softbox, 35 x colour filters, 1 x Snoot, 3x Magic sticky tapes, , and 1x Bag.

Like anything you get what you pay for, and this kit isn’t any different. The carry bag is so thin you can see through it. The hot-shoe mounts are wobbly. But it all works and is easy to use. On the bright side the flashes are unbranded Yongnuo, and the triggers are Cactus PT-04, not top of the line equipment but still OK especially at that price.  I will have fun using this light portable kit over the coming months but I don’t think it will last more than 6 month.
